Hey, it’s been a while! 👋🏻 Let me introduce myself to everyone who is new to #NoshItFoodFacts and say ‘hello’ to all of you who have been here with me for a while.
• My name is Elieke. I love all things food 🍫 and nutrition - from exploring new ingredients and understand how they’re grown and produced, to cooking new recipes, and geeking out about the science that helps us appreciate the things we eat and drink. • I have a PhD in nutrition from UC Davis and am also a Registered Dietitian. My true passion is digging into the data to fully understand the WHY and HOW of things related to food and then share this information with people like yourself in an easy to digest format (food fun very much intended!) • I love LOVE food puns! If you come across a good food pun, please share. • I grew up in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 and am currently based in Chicago where I’m making the most of this wild stay-at-🏠-year together with my husband and 🐶 who is named Brussel Sprout.
